Ok, so anybody interested in hip hop and entertainment has more than likely heard about Akon’s recent on-stage bump and grind with a 14 year old Trinidadian young lady. This “sexal-act” is a regular part of Akon’s road show, whereas he hold’s a stage dance contest to select a winner that gets jetted off to Africa. The contest was held in other countries/cities such as London and Atlanta, but none obviously went in the manner that the Trinidad contest did…none of the other girls were minors. So I know everybody’s wondering how a mishap like this occurs with such a big name like Akon.

Earlier in the week, Akon issued a statement to an Atlanta DJ giving his thorough and complete apologies to Trinidad (and the culture), as well as to anyone offended by this act. He wanted everyone to know that he was under the impression that Trinidad follows STRICT club policies, and that EVERYONE inside the Trinidadian club was supposed to be over 18, and carded. This obviously was not the case. Akon then further said that he didn’t come on stage until after 2:30 AM, which further proves that any minors should have been at home in the bed! We’ll let you decide on this one…but I’m sure this will not hurt Akon’s pockets, diamond mind (in Senegal), nor any of his 3 wives!!!
