Atlanta-based comedian GRIFF will host the ultimate video game showdown between rappers Bow Wow and The Game today at a secret location in Los Angeles. The event will kick-off with a weigh-in ceremony followed by the two going head to head in a game of "Madden NFL '09" on Xbox 360. The winner will claim Madden domination and bragging rights.
GRIFF, known for his quick wit and hard-hitting punchlines, will provide the expert yet comedic commentary as the once winner of the Georgia Sportscaster of the Year Award and a "Madden NFL '09" enthusiast.

"I'm very excited and eager to host this event, because if these are the best players in the industry, I want to play one of them second!" said GRIFF.
Xbox 360 and the Konsole Kingz are setting the stage for the music artists to show what they've got as they've both been talking up their Madden skills. Hip Hop and video game fans alike are ready to see who comes out on top.

When asked who he thought would win, GRIFF replied: "I've heard The Game is the nicest from a few people, but I've also heard that Jermaine Dupri and Bow Wow just used to make music, then play Madden, then make more music, then play more Madden, so it should be a good battle!"

Bow Wow & The Game both chimed in to give their opponent a lil scare. Here's what they had to say:

"I can't wait to play! I've been waiting, Game's been waiting, the video game world's been waiting. The only bad thing is Game's fans are gonna have to see him lose. LOL... I'ma play with the Bengals, Ohio all day, gotta represent for da state! Like Michael Buffer says -- let's get ready 2 ruuuuuuuumble!!!!!!" - Bow Wow

"Bow Wow has no idea what he's started. He's in way over his head. This Friday I will remain the undisputed Madden king." -The Game

It was a busy weekend for for all of Atlanta, including your favorite BRiSON Boyz! We know you've been waiting, so thanks for your patience and here goes the anticipated events. Friday jumped us off with V103's first Soul Session of the season with Konvict's Ray Lavender, and J.Records' Jennifer Hudson. Both artists gave exceptional performances, even with Lavender having to win over a packed crowd who obviously were all awaiting Oscar winner J.Hud. Oh, but when she took that stage... It's no secret that Hudson is a power house, but when you hear this sensation live; she is no joke! Singing familiar songs and mixing in a little of the new, Hudson gave an invigorating show that will surely raise her already growing fan base, that and the fact that she got the audience very involved! We definitely want to gove our fans more footage, but due to restrictions from the radio station and label, we can only give but so much; we really weren't even supposed to be taking pics of J.Hud (yup, concert staff alerted all media-besides Freddyo-that if anyone was caught taking pictures, they'd be escorted out, so we kept it low profile, but visit http://www.freddyo.com/ for more). Either way, make sure you cop her new album next month when it drops. BIG ups to Nicole from J.Records & Aisha of V103...thanks for always taking care of BRiSON!!!!

Here is a little footage from Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Summerfest Celebrity Basketball Game, which took place at Morehouse's gymnasium on Saturday. The spot was packed with celebs such as Lorenz Tate, Bow Wow, Nelly, Boris Kodjoe, and more. There was also a halftime show by one of the newest celebrities to reach adulthood...Soulja Boy and his new group the Showstoppers. This event definitely went better than the previous night's party, which ended in a club VIP shoot out...even though the heat from the long lines could've killed somebody just the same!!! Peep the footage...and for more on the entire weekend visit www.sohh.com.

R&B sensation Omarion will join with hip-hop phenomenon Bow Wow to release a project later this year. They have put their rumored differences aside to create a "Best of Both Worlds" type compilation. These types of superstar duo collaborations have proven not to go over so well so it should be interesting to see how well these two share the limelight on a single project.

“Me and O have been trying to put this together for so many years, and now we’ve got the opportunity to do it,” Bow Wow says. “We’re in the creative process right now, still trying to come up with a title and everything. Me and him are coming up with ideas daily, so the process is gonna go real smooth. We’re anxious to get in the studio together and make this whole thing happen.”
