R&B LiVE ATLANTA FEATURiNG BRiAN MiCHAEL COX

Posted by Jason Dinsmore on Sunday, June 1, 2008 , under , , , , , , |

Luckie Lounge in Atlanta will definitely go down in the history books for poppin parties, and Thursday night definitely sealed the deal! The R&B Live Atlanta Showcase, sponsored by Hennessy and Lincoln, brought out some of the industry's bests to celebrate an evening or pure, unadulterated, NEW music. Guests included Atlanta's own Keri Hilson, Polow Da Don, Jazze Pha, Algebra, Scar (Purple Ribbon), DJ Trauma as well as super producer No ID; and we can't forget about the man of the hour Mr. Brian Michael Cox. The showcase was truly about him, as he offered the world (A-Town stand up!!!) our 1st bit of his personal B.Cox experience. Most folk didn't even know he sang, but in the tradition of fellow producer/songwriters Ne Yo, The Dream, and Sean Garrett, Cox plans to add one more plateau to his soaring career. Keep it locked for our exclusive interview with B.Cox, and his new group Dirty Rose; these fellas were on the red carpet bussing their single "All for Love" for media on demand, so watch out for these kats...they seemed industry ready. Shout out to Krishna and the entire Garner Circle for throwing yet another extravagant event!

TREY SONGZ & J.HOLiDAY (WE THiNK) CONCERT

Posted by Jason Dinsmore on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 , under , , , , |

On last Thursady, ladies young and old, gathered inside of the newly renovated Dreamz ATL nightclub for what was supposed to be The Dream, J.Holiday, and Trey Songz concert; at least that's what the advertisement that I have sitting next to me reads. However, at about midnight (or later), Trey Songz finally did come out and give an amazing performance. We did dip a little early (2:00 AM), but the concert was a win win for us and Trey; I wasn't a fan and he definitely won me over...stay tuned to BRiSON later in the week for exclusive video footage of Trey performing.

Now moving on to the other performers slated to appear... Reports vary, but one source claimed that Trey was the only (major) artist to hit the stage that night, but I was able to hunt down a few pictures of a tardy J.Holiday (peep http://www.freddyo.com/). Maybe he got caught up in the BED, BED, BED, and ran a little late. Maybe he'll have a shot next time at winning me over, but until then...

And then there's The Dream...I really don't have a bunch negative to say, but this was a huge disappointment for the BRiSON Boyz; he was the reason we went! We'll catch him next time too...and yes, we're still The Dream fans!!!
Also spotted at the concert was the cast of College Hill Atlanta, Ne-Yo, 107.9 & v103 Radio Personalities, Jazze Pha, and more...

BRiSON ON LOCATiON: BOBBY VALENTiNTO BiRTHDAY BASH

It went down last night as DTP's Bobby V celebrated his birthday at Club Lucky in Atlanta. The A is known for standing up and stepping out to a good party, and even with the bitter cold, last night was no different as the crowd jammed to Valentino singing his own favorite cuts and DJ Trauma on the 1's & 2's. With an event like this, you know there was lots of bottle poppin' and industry networking; somebody probably even got a track or two last night with all of the the producers and execs in the spot. Check out a few pics from last night's b'day bash. Shout outs to Tahira...excellent event!
