I am NO ECONOMIST, but, in an economy on the edge of, falling into, or already in a recession, at 17% profit is obscene, especially considering that profit amount is 10.9 BILLION dollars, the 2nd LARGEST quarterly profit in U.S. History. And check out the chart below to see who is in first, third, AND fourth. Notice ALL of them happend after 9/11, when gas prices stared rising.
