Ok...so if you missed yesterday's 1st annual A-Town Day then you missed a true treat. The festival & concert was definitely a good/hood look that's sure to catch the right folks' attention and keep this celebration going for years to come. So, to keep it real...was the event perfect? Not even, but to be fair, it was the 1st tme an event like this was held, so there was room for a little bt of error. But we here at Bri'Son like to observe the negative, but keep it right moving with the positive and there were so many positive items that took place at the event. Primarily, the love that the artists showed Kim Ellis and KE PR. But aside from that, this event (again) was one for the KIDS! There were lots of booths set up for educational purposes and play areas so the kids could get in the giant air machines and jump away. Since it was advertised that children 6 and under were free, I took my niece. Of course she enjoyed the over all event, but a few of the highlights that she had were the dance contest battle between the "Baby Phat" Girls and the "Rocawear" Boys, the Tupac Dancers, and I'm sure this comes as no surprise...Lil Chuckee. Since this was for the kids I had to ask her out of the performers that hit the stage, which was her favorite, and her answer was no different than what you would get if you asked what's anybody's favorite radio/club banger right now...the Shop Boyz and "Party Like a Rockstar". Check out the pics and I'm sure you can tell why. They came ready to perform with their stage game on point. Definite shout outs to Brian (Manager & CEO of On Deck Records) and the Shop Boyz! Y'all boys did your thing and it's evident that y'll had the entire spot partying like rockstars. Let us know where we can snatch some custom guitars...or do we have to be stage rockstars to be down?
