THE RETURN OF HURRiCANE CHRiS

In the recent weeks, we've been plagued with Hurricanes Gustav, Hannah, and Ike, but there's a more familiar hurricane ready to resurface...Hurricane Chris!!!

According to reports, Polo Grounds recording artist Hurricane Chris is back in the studio working on his much anticipated sophomore album and has called on some heavy hitters to bring the heat-

When asked about the new project, Chris replied, “I got some of my real big dawgs getting ready to jump on this album- it’s gonna be fire! I’m not gonna tell y’all who I’m working with right now- you have to stay tuned!”
The Louisiana lyricist, who is recording in Atlanta, New York and LA will also be reunited with Phunk Dawg who produced Hurricane's best known smash 'A Bay Bay' which sold 4 million in digital and mobile units combined, and appeared on his debut album '51/50 Ratchet.' Hurricane, who recently shot his second FILA commercial with label mate Boxie and rapper Diamond, has another solo FILA campaign starting this fall for the back to school line of Helmsman's sneakers after the huge success of his first campaign which helped to sell over 400,000 pairs of the shoe. DiAMOND LANDS A SOLO DEAL WiTH WARNER BROS. RECORDS iNC.

Whether known as "Miss I come in the club, shaking my dreads", or simply by her stage name Diamond, this Atlanta native is ready to come out of the rough with her new multilayer solo deal on Warner Bros. Records Inc. Diamond, who is best known for her stint in the Atlanta rap group Crime Mob, and more recently for the "ultra blog beef" with former Crime Mob member Princess, is ready to push through the BS and showcase her skills as a true MC. Not only are Warner Bros. investing in Diamond as a rap artist, they are looking to make her a household brand with TV and film endorsements, and a host of other activities and investments.

In all of the excitement, Diamond had to take a minute to reflect upon her upcoming opportunity; here's what she had to say: "I'm so excited about my new solo deal with Warner- it's been a long time coming! It’s important for me to give my fans the Diamond they already know, but to also give them something new from me! I hope to work with a few of my favorite people in the industry, from Timbaland to T-Pain on my new album, so there's definitely going to be a few surprises in store!"

In Spring 2008, FILA featured Diamond in their new ad campaign - How Do You FILA - which was included in several national magazines including XXL, Blender, and Giant. Along with this major endorsement deal, you may possibly find Diamond hitting the town with rumored long-time boyfriend, Lil Scrappy...guess that brings true light to both of them loving FILA (Forever I Love Atlanta)

There have been rumors circulating for months of a break up between the members of rap group Crime Mob, but the rumors usually discuss the ladies leaving the group to do their own thing as a duo. Today the rumors were put to rest when Diamond gave an interview on Hot 107.9 stating that she would no longer be a member of the group. I wasn't able to catch the entire interview, but she did state:

Don't feel like like you gotta choose sides. It's no beef, or no craziness. It ain't like "I hate you, I hate you" or none of that...it's just something that we decided to do. I ain't saying that it won't be in the future, but right now you just gotta go for you; you gotta take care of yourself cuz ain't nobody else gon do it.

The entire group did rep at the Dirty Awards last night, but as you can see, they weren't together. It is what it is on this one; Diamond and Princess are both BRiSoN's ladies for life, so best of luck to all y'all!
