I remember like it was yesterday: March 2002 and two hot young artists, Brandy and new artist Tweet, would release now-classic R&B albums - Full Moon and Southern Hummingbird within a week of each other. One of my best friends Will (sup Billy P?) was so excited by the new music coming from Tweet that I couldn't come home from work without hearing it. I must admit it was infectious. This also held true with Brandy. Her previous album, Never Say Never, introduced the now all-grown-up "Moesha" to the world. Both had HOT 1st singles, Brandy's raging "What About Us" and Tweet's controversial "Oops Oh My" (remember all the drama caused by the lyrics that celebrated a woman's ability to pleasure herself?).



Fast forward to 2008 and now we have new music - the official 1st single for Brandy is titled "Right Here (Departed)" and a hot new song that we hope is Tweet's new single, "Hey Baby" have both hit the internet. Check them out below and enjoy. I wish both of these genuine ARTISTS nothing but success for their upcoming releases! Special thanks to Brian from ConcreteLoop for the heads up!

Brandy Norwood is hands-down one of my top 3 favorite artists of all time. Why? Because she seems to be touched by God when it comes to harmony and vocal arrangement. Her vocals are always so rich and intricate. NEVER SAY NEVER, FULL MOON (one word: wow), and AFRODISIAC are my favorite albums to date. Well, we hear that she is gearing up to drop a NEW ALBUM sometime in the near future on her new label home, Epic Records. We at BRiSON have decided to compile all the RECENT RELEASES from Brandy for your listening pleasure. Think of it as a Brandy R&B mixtape to hold you down until we get that album! My favorite right now is probably "Dig This."

Wassup BRiSON family? Just wanted to check back in with ya after a long weekend. It certainly is a constant work in progress trying to keep you updated with the latest and greatest.

Okay, so on to our goodies and let's try to get you up to speed.

Clifford "T.I." Harris is already at it again. Clearly, Mr. Harris seeks to use his time wisely and invest in hard work for his family. Just four months after the release of his last chart-topping album, T.I. vs. T.I.P, according to Entertainment Weekly, Tip is working on a new album inside his South Fulton County home while under house arrest awaiting trial on federal gun charges.

A rep for T.I. confirmed that six records have already been completed at Tip's home studio. The album, titled Paper Trail, is a reference to T.I.'s return to writing his lyrics on paper, which he hasn't done since releasing his first album I'm Serious six years go. "He wanted to take more time to really put something down [this time]," his rep explained to EW.

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Kanye West as his mother, Dr. Donda West passed from this world on Saturday (November 10) as a result of complications from a cosmetic surgery procedure. Dr. West was 58. She was the former Chair of the English Department at CSU (Chicago State University), where she taught for over 30 years. Dr. West, you certainly did many things right raising a musical prodigy like Kanye while educating our youth for many decades.

TMZ.com is reporting that just weeks before she had the surgery performed, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Andre Aboolian, refused to operate on her because of a health condition he believed could have led to a heart attack. Aboolian says he was to perform a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Dr. West, but told her that she needed to get clearance from an internist whom Dr. Aboolian recommended. Reportedly, West never saw that physician, and subsequently had the procedures performed by another doctor.

The website also is reporting that West was at her home when the 911 call was made. At 7:35 p.m. Saturday night (November 10), paramedics responded to a 911 call and transported West to nearby Centinela Freeman Hospital in Marinadel Rey, California. We're told it was a "sick person call." West was reportedly unresponsive and was not able to be resuscitated.
