MARiAH E=MC² iN STORES TODAY!
So today's the day! Mariah Carey is back and poised to conquer one of the most celebrated achievements in our time - more #1 singles than the Beatles, who have 20. She has already passed Elvis Presley's record of 18 which is amazing in and of itself. I think Mariah may not be topping what she is already done from an artistic standpoint, but why not stay the course when it is leading you to the history books? Mariah can break new ground on the next album. I will be there to ensure she will! My favorite song right now is certainly "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy.
Make sure you check out these tracks, I have included the tracklisting, as
1. Migrate feat. T-Pain
2. Touch My Body
3. Cruise Control feat. Damian Marley
4. I Stay In Love
5. Side Effects feat. Young Jeezy
6. I'm That Chick
7. Love Story
8. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time
9. Last Kiss
10. Thanx 4 Nothin'
11. O.O.C.
12. For The Record
13. Bye Bye
13. I Wish You Well

ATLANTANS REP HARD AT THE 2008 GRAMMY AWARDS
It's a shame that the number of Grammy nods doesn't dictate where the actual ceremony is held, if that was the case, Atlanta would definitely be the spot for the 50th annual Grammy Awards taking place this weekend in L.A. Check out the ATL artists (some native and others new) that will be repping hard on Sunday.
The list doesn't stop here, be looking for mega-producers DJ Toomp and C. "Sticky"Stewart to also be repping hard for the A in the Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories. Also shout outs to Gnarles Barkley and Outkast, they are definitely nominated as well. For a complete list of this year's nominations visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50th_Annual_Grammy_Awards
USHER TALKS ABOUT FAMILY, CHILDREN, MUSIC
• On taking pics of the baby, Usher Raymond V: "I've become an instant photographer," he offers. "Developing them and everything." He shows AJC columnist Sonia Murray a picture of the baby — who may have more hair than daddy — during his first bath in the sink. "It looks like he's posing doesn't it?" the admiring father says. "I wonder where he gets that from? He's going to be a lady-killer!"
• On marriage: "Just to be a little more patient. Marriage is not a sprint, it's a marathon. You have to take your time and be very patient. Sometimes you've got to breathe. Step away. Walk away from each other. You'll drive each other crazy if you're not considerate of that."
• On becoming a new dog owner: "That's my buddy right there! I went and got a dog a week before I had my child. Crazy, huh? But his name is Mr. Scottie Benson...He almost got me thrown out of the house last night though, because he peed on the carpet."
• On getting a Grammy nomination earlier this month, and he doesn't even have a new CD out: "Shoot, I'm winning even in my sleep ... even in hibernation. That's a heck of a compliment."
• On when he'll finally have a new CD out: "I've been diligently working on creating a masterpiece. It's going to be out first or maybe the second quarter. I see the second quarter of next year. And there will be a video and single out at the top of the year."
(Sonia Murray also reports that Usher added that a collaboration with Michael Jackson and Atlanta rapper-singer T-Pain is in early stages. "It's been created, but it's not recorded. And as long as Michael is open to it, hey, anything goes.")
KANYE WEST leads GRAMMY NOMINATIONS with 8
Nominations were announced today in Los Angeles for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards and Kanye leads the list of nominees with 8 nods, while Winehouse follows with six. She captured nominations in all four top Grammy categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (a songwriter's award), and Best New Artist.
Many artists recieved multiple nominations - The Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and T-Pain all have 5 nods.
T.I. got nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance; Best Rap Song; and Best Rap Album for T.I. vs. T.I.P..
West's nominations dominate the rap categories, with nominations for the Best Rap album and double nominations in the Best Rap Song category - with both "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Good Life" competing for the award. Graduation is also in competition with Amy Winehouse's Back To Black, the Foo Fighters' Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, Vince Gill's These Days and Herbie Hancock's River: The Joni Letters in the Album of the Year race.
Noticably absent from the Grammy Noms list are super-producer Polow Da Don, who produced smash hits for Fergie ("London Bridge" and many others on album), Ciara ("Promise"), Mary J. Blige ("Runaway Love"), Ludacris, Pussycat Dolls ("Buttons"), Rich Boy ("Throw Some D's"), and more. Also absent from the nods was Sugarland, who most recently performed with Beyonce at the American Music Awards.
The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will be handed out on February 10, 2008 at Los Angeles' Staples Center. For a full list of nominations visit grammy.com.

LAST DAY TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE R&B SINGER!!!
The BRiSON poll closes tonight so make sure you rep hard for your favorite male R&B singer! So far Chris Brown is getting it on and poppin in the lead, but Usher and Neyo don't seem too far behind. A few artists left off the poll, but that continue to get votes, are T-Pain, R.Kelly, and Akon; we didn't intentionally leave them off the list, but feel free to add them in the space marked as other. Make sure you tune in Monday to hear who YOU voted the best R&B singer of 2007!!!
T-Pain: From Stripper to Suicide
As much as I hate to admit it, I have to give props where props are due! Your boy T-Pain, who I personally never thought would see a sophomore project, has not only kept his industry attendance up, but must be planning some kind of take-over. Obviously, he is on every last single remix that hits the airwaves, but with this week's release of his sohopmore project, Epiphany, T-Pain leaves some critics wondering whether he's a superstar in the making.
Off top, T-Pain is definitely coming harder than his first project; let's look at the 1st singles: I'm Sprung vs. Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin') I guess there's really no need to comment, but what I'd really like to discuss is the obvious growth in conversation and lyrical content on this new project. We all probably came to love T-Pain (ok, like him at least) through his mega-hit and remix, I'm N Luv (Wit A Stripper), but we all know we thought to ourselves, "he ain't talking about nothing!!!" (unless you just left Magic City or one of the sorts) But T-Pain is coming a little different on this album. While the album is highly infused with songs that make you want to run to the liquor store, the album also holds tracks that touch on real life issues that affect lots of today's youth and adults. Take track 5, I got It & track 6, Suicide. Track 5 is an interlude into 6, and discuss with the growing issue of HIV and LOVE in today's society. This is a topic that lots of artists think about, but not many have had the balls to touch (even after the rumor hit that a Houston rapper was speading this disease). There isn't much I want to really say on the topic, I think T-Pain hit the nail on the head, But I would like to pose a question and offer you the chance to give BRiSON a little feedback: Please place all comments in the CONTACT US field
Could you continue to stay with someone that's HIV positive, but your status is HIV negative? Or do you see that as a form of SUICIDE???
