TI in Court Today: Keep those positive thoughts up!!!

Posted by Jason Dinsmore on Friday, October 19, 2007 , under , , , , , , , |

Make sure you stay prayerful for the big homie TI! We all know the drama and exploitation behind the case, and even though he made some silly mistakes and poor choices, it's still bad business when they exploit another one of our black millionaires. TIP is scheduled to appear in Atlanta Federal Court sometime today...Keep your head up man! Jason, Hannah, Francis & the rest of the Grand Hustle family and staff...y'all stay up too! We are definitely repping TIP to the fullest.

Take some time out today to reflect on all the positive things that TI brings to the hip hop nation like the 24 hour day care center, the construction company, Club Crucial, and all the hits that make black and white radio thrive. Here is TI's discology, just in case you've been under a rock for the past decade.

FUNNY PIC: The kids even love TI!!!

Judging from the previous post about TI's latest beef with Gucci Mane, it's obvious that not everybody in the A is feeling TI nor TIP...but from this picture, it's also obvious that he's capturing an entirely different age group. I can personally attest that this kid not only is confident that he too can rap like TI, he is also forsure that he'd like his life to go moreso in the manners of TI and not of his alter-ego TIP. My advice is to stay in school...and you can be ANYTHING your heart desires! But for now, aiming to be (like) TI is not a bad goal!!!

In a daring and very bold move, rapper Gucci Mane, who has been profiled on BRiSON many times over the past few months, has released a track aimed at fellow Atlanta rapper T.I. The track, apparently titled "What Kinda KING? (I smell P***y)" speaks out on various issues related to T.I.'s promotion of his latest CD, T.I. vs T.I.P., including his performance at Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash concert in June. Lyrics from the track, include:

"What kinda KING do the birthday bash in the middle of the summer in some f**king leather pants?"

"What kinda n**ga try to start up beef, then try apologize on national TV?"

"...b**ch n**ga I be on Bankhead more than you do!"
LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!

GOOD MUSIC TUESDAY: TI vs TIP & MS. KELLY

Posted by Jason Dinsmore on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 , under , , |

vs
What happens when you mix the industry with the trap? Well today fans all across the world will find out exactly what you get when you mix the two. TI vs TIP depicts the intrapersonal battle that comes along with maintaining a hood status all while being pulled in to a vicious, yet lavish music industry. Most people look at TI as being new to the game, and along with money and fame comes problems; but TI has been on the rise for a minute. Just pull out TRAP MUZIK and listen to number 12...as a matter of fact just click on the link below to catch the confrontation even before he was labeled the KING
TI vs TIP - TRAP MUZIK

DC & Kelly Rowland fans have been waiting over a year for Kelly's sophomore project to drop, and today she definitely appeases the ears of all anticipating waiters! MS KELLY is the mixture of her two projects (the earlier being tentatively titled MY STORY), but definitely gives a personal look into what the "sexy, black, beautiful" Kelly Rowland has been up to for the past two years. From her bouts with love to her grown and sexy ways, MS KELLY will definitely be accepted on a larger scale, and hopefully will prove her longevity (without Michelle & B by her side). There are a bunch of recorded tracks that didn't make the final MS KELLY album; if anyone has any of them, please them to either mine or B.Smoke's email.

Take some time today to appreciate all of this good music, unless you will be hitting one of the album release parties, & in that case...see you there!

Calling all TI (and TIP) fans...Make sure you're logged in tonight for TI's free MYSPACE concert. TI is definitely changing the game with the concept of the new CD, but he is also making history by being a ground breaker in the myspace technology...you tell me another cat that's broadcasting live via myspace (and not just inviting you to a secret location in a disclosed city).
Make sure you log on to: http://www.myspace.com/trapmuzik and be a part of TI's history. Don't forget to run to the stores on July 3rd and pick up a few copies of TI vs TIP...you won't be sorry!!!

BRiSON ON LOCATION: TI vs TIP Album Listening Party

Posted by Jason Dinsmore on Saturday, June 9, 2007 , under , , , , |

On July 3rd, Atlanta native TI, or depending on the day, otherwise referred to as TIP is set to release his 5th studio album rightfully titled TI vs TIP. With the great success of his previous CD, KING, TI almost seems as if he's training for a battle, but this battle seems to be a one man fight.

In preparations for the early July release, TI hosted a listening party at the Grand Hustle Studio in Atlanta to give a few friends (somewhere in the area of a couple hundred) a sneak peak of what may be this summer's, and maybe even the entire year's most anticipated album.
The CD is a 3 part story all of which details the life of TI, alter-ego TIP, or gives you a direct step into the battle between the two with a section called The Confrontation. Even though I have personally been a TI fan since I'M SERIOUS, and once again I can honestly admit that TI is attempting to claim yet another classic. With features including Busta Rhymes, Slim Shady, and Jay-Z, TI and/or TIP will definitely show you how the hood and the "Hollywood" industry can definitely collide. Make sure to hit the music stores on July 3rd to snatch up a few copies!!!
Exclusive pics from the party...

T.I. vs TIP - The Struggle

Posted by DJ Plan.B on Saturday, May 5, 2007 , under , |

Billboard Magazine's Hillary Crosley has posted a GREAT interview with rap king T.I. and I strongly suggest you check it out! Also make sure you cop T.I. vs TIP, with features Timbaland, Eminem, Danja Hands, Swizz Beatz, the Runners, Just Blaze, Scott Storch, Akon and Wyclef Jean. TIP even jumps on the boards and does production on the album!!
Below are some the excerpts:
"Much of the public knows T.I. as the ultra-suave, super-stylish rapper, the guy who guests in Justin Timberlake videos and makes the ladies swoon. But hip-hop heads and those closest to T.I. know he's a man fighting demons and thus fighting to hold onto his blistering career momentum."

"'I can never go pop -- the hood is in me,' T.I. says. 'I'm just going for a different audience than I usually target. It's not fair to me to keep talking about the same things. I've gone so far past the hood that I've got to talk about other things.'"

"The only question remaining is whether the rapper will be focused enough to stay out of trouble and promote his album. In other words, all his Grand Hustle signings, his executives at Atlantic and those closest to him will be waiting to see the winner of 'T.I. vs T.I.P.'"
