DEAR CiARA, WHO ARE YOU?
Dear Ciara,
After watching the VMAs on Sunday, I am convinced something is wrong. When I heard R&B starlet Ciara (Harris) respond to questions by interviewers Sunday, I asked myself, "When did Ciara start talking like that?" Ci-Ci, you seemed very different from your normal self. Is the celebrity and your rumored obsession with Beyonce-esque fame getting to you? Nothing about you seemed authentic this time around. And I am concerned. To me, you are the artist who needs to be giving classes to Janet Jackson. Why? Because you actually take RISKS WITH YOUR VOICE. My favorite track that you have recorded recently is "High Price," featuring Ludacris, with its operatic delivery. When I first heard it, I became very excited about your project as it reminded me that you are willing to think outside of the box. Your last album, Evolution, showcased that and I am ready for you to continue to take it to the next level. What we like about you is that you have an "around the way" feel though your work ethic and showmanship make you a star. Run you ambitions, don't let them run you. Stay in your lane. You don't have to be anyone other than yourself to grow even more successful in your career. Be Ciara. And if you are being Ciara, who was that woman at the VMAs? I don't know her.
Regards,
