The fashion world brought out all the top names last night from Dior to Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and Mizrahi, and all in the name of charity. Upscale clothing store Jeffrey does it every year and he calls it Fashion Cares, an extravagant auction and savvy fashion show which raises over a million dollars for breast cancer and AIDS research. Items in the auction ranged from a 10 person power outing at the 4 Seasons to a trip for two to Elton John's annual Oscar Party (the bidding began at 20K...so you know what the room was stacked!!!). All in all, the evening was a great success, definitely capturing it's expected million dollar goal, but also leaving all patrons feeling like a million dollars all the same.
