With The Prince of All Media.com being one of our FAVORITE affiliate sites, you know we have to rep one of his top international artists Kerli. Along with having an EXCLUSiVE iNTERViEW with her, he also wrote an album review; peep it below, and switch your swag for a minute and support other artists and styles! Check the review:
Rarely do I ever rant and rave to my friends over an artist or album that I've discovered to be the coolest thing since PB & Jelly sandwiches - because many of my close friends realize I have such an eclectic taste in music as I have in friends. I can go from being a Hip Hopper, to a Rocker, to Pop all within one minute! I blame my parents for introducing me to my one true love in this world - music - at such a young age. Well I interviewed this newcomer a week ago and I honestly must admit I wasn't too familiar with her music at the time. But when doing my research for the interview I did with her I came to have a curiosity for who she was. Then after I conducted the interview with her, though we talked over the phone - I could pretty much tell that she was a pretty cool chick. So fast forward to this week and her album, Love Is Dead that dropped on Tuesday. I didn't get to cop it and listen to it until last night. I must say, I am impressed with this newcomer, Kerli even more now! Besides my love for the video and song, Walking On Air she really is a force in the music scene to take notice of. The Estonian native comes with her own sound that all I can describe it as is "Europoprock" meets the likes of Evanescence, Pink, Blink 182, Avril Lavigne - and they have a baby and the sound that baby makes is Kerli! My iPod has been on replay of the album since I got it, but if I had to pick out songs that I consider my favorites off the album, I'd have to say The Creationist, I Want Nothing, Beautiful Day, Creepshow, Strange Boy and Fragile. I had this same tingling feeling about Robin Thicke's The Evolution of Robin Thicke when it first came out and a lot of my family and close friends slept on him when he first came out, but to their surprise had to admit I proved them wrong when they said he wouldn't blow up. Well... I have the same tingle about Kerli... watch out world for the next big rock star! Go cop the album and check her out at www.kerlimusic.com !
