Being a child advocate definitely has more perks than changing the lives of kids everywhere; take last week for instance. It was a busy week i the A, as I stated in a recent post, but Thursday was absolutely bananas when it was leaked that TI would be coming to speak to a group of local rising musicians, but that NO PRESS WOULD BE ALLOWED (besides Sonia Murray from the AJC, which shows exactly why we are honoring her as a T.H.U.G. for the upcoming Source Awards next month). It almost became a media frenzy, but everyone stayed respectful because no one wants to add fuel to TIP'S already blazing flames. We my to my luck, knowing lots of kids in the program came to my benefit, and I have exclusive pics and footage (to come later...) of the event. I was waitig to make sure that this would't get our homie in any trouble, but since the event, I have seen Sonia's story and heard about the event on 107.9's Gangster Grillz Radio Show. So, enjoy, and kids keep on keeping your BIG homie Mr. D involved. BIG ups to Dee Dee and the FOR ME Music Producers Teen Series; way to do it super HUGE!!!! Shout out to Big Oomp too...he was there representig for the producers. Oomp will also be honored at this year's T.H.U.G.
