Missy Elliott is truly one of the great artists of our time. The visualizations of her songs via music videos are truly genius. J.Write gives some nice examples of what makes Missy really really hot.
But Janet Jackson is still the queen.
Janet Jackson's music career has now spanned over 20 years, and her videos are the most groundbreaking of her time. From "Control" to "Pleasure Principle" to "Rhythm Nation" to "Escapade" to "That's The Way Love Goes," to "Son of a Gun" (remix featuring Missy) to "So Excited" all the way to her current smash, "Feedback," Janet has been taking no prisoners.
Can you think of a Janet video that was lackluster? I am sure that because Janet has so many videos, you may be able to find one or two that weren't your favorite, but that has more to do with the sheer volume of her body of work compared to Missy's.
