This story has been in the news for quite some time, but it was reported that over the New Year's holiday, Eddie Murphy and fiancee Tracey Edmonds finally tied the knot in secret ceremony in Bora Bora. This probably sounds like great news (if your name isn't Melanie, Nicole, or Kenneth), but the news isn't so great for the "Murphy's" either.

Reports show that the Murphy wedding is null and void due to a law on the island that they exchanged their nuptials on. The island has a law that in order for marriages that take place on the island to be official, the couple must live together for at least 30 consecutive days on the island. Oops!

Tracey's rep issued a statement confirming that the two actually did take part in a private ceremony on the island, but that the ceremony was more so for the couple to exchange their vows in the way that they both wanted too. The couple is still planning a big extravaganza that will be accepted by all (again, unless your name is Melanie, Nicole, or Kenneth...LOL)
