Just about everyday this week it seems like we got a different text and/or email about some celebs's family member passing, unfortunately, the rumor about Lil Mama's (Naitia Jessica Kirkland) mother is true. Tyra Kirkland was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2003, so it may not have been a huge surprise, but there's nothing comparable to losing an immediate family member, so please keep her in your constant prayers. Lil Mama has not officially released a statement, but her record label Jive did confirm her mother's passing. Lil Mama was in Atlanta at the time she was notified preparing for her current tour with Chris Brown and Bow Bow.
