This weekend is an exciting one for the city of New Orleans, as they welcome back the infamous Essence Music Festival. After the tragic Hurricane Katrina evacuations, Essence packed up and temporarily relocated to Houston, but this year they are rightfully using the theme "Coming Home". I was very pleased to look at the roster for this year's festival; along with musical heavy-hitters Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and Ms. Kelly, and Ciara (just to name a few) hitting the stage, this year's festival will also be highly political with seminars and speeches by the Democrats leading candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
