Gucci Mane, the Atlanta rapper known for his hit "So Icy" with Young Jeezy - and the subsequent fallout between the pair that led to a death and murder investigation - and for current club bangers "Freaky Gurl" and "Pillz" off his current album Hard to Kill released last year, has signed a new deal with Asylum/Atlantic Records as part of an agreement involving his new label So Icey and Czar Entertainment.

Gucci is slated to release his third album through his new label this summer. The project will include appearances from Pimp C, Rich Boy, and R&B group Silk. Producers Nitti and former Young Jeezy collaborator Shawty Redd are expected to work on the project.

"It was a great coup for us to land Gucci Mane. He's one of the most charismatic and acclaimed rappers on the street, with an extraordinary life story and the authenticity and talent to back it up," remarkedTodd Moscowitz, President of Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group (ILG).

"Gucci has been writing poetry and stories since he was ten-years-old, and it shows in the creativity and depth of his music. He is a brilliant rapper and a fantastic character who is injecting real originality and humor into the hip-hop landscape. Since releasing his first album two years ago, he has emerged as a compelling true-life storyteller with a unique voice and undeniable star power. I am thrilled to welcome Gucci and his So Icey label into the Atlantic and Asylum family," Atlantic Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman added, also via statement.

Gucci Mane was previously signed to Big Cat Records where he released the 2005 album Trap House and spawned the single "Icy" and his current album Hard to Kill.
