Danity Kane is planning to drop their sophomore project this upcoming fall. In addition to working with super-producers Bran Michael Cox, Scott Storch, Timbaland, Diddy, and others, they are looking to collaborate with new not-so established producers. The band wants to shed light on underground producers that have the skill but lack the exposure.
Dawn says about the new project, “To me, this is the turning point. This determines whether or not you’re legit. The first album was fantastic and has had such success, but I think the biggest thing is your staying power. It’s one thing to have one hit album, but it’s quite another to have longevity, so it’s very important that we make decisions that keep us in the game for a long time.”
There’s also talk about another season for the band on MTV. This series would document the aftermath of the first album’s release, the group’s concert tour opening for Christina Aguilera and the making of the next album. Hey, at least they have aftermath to follow-up on…whatever happened to Da Band????? I’ma find them.
